"Christy" Valdez-Helsley, age 66, of Jonestown died unexpectedly Monday, February 13, 2017 at her home.She was born on August 13, 1950 in Salem, Oregon, the daughter of the late Brownie Valdez and Doris and Dick Radke.She was a graduate of North Salem High School in the class of 1969. She lived several years in Southern California before coming to Ohio.She is survived by her sons: Ken Helsley (Amanda), of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Travis Doolittle of Southern California; grandchildren: Nate and Hailey Helsley; siblings: Linda Valdez, Butch (Lori) Valdez, Debbie Roys, and Rick (Marcy) Valdez.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Helsley, and brother, Jeffrey Valdez in 2016.Family will receive friends to honor her memory at Jeff & Karon Catterson's home, 1140 Ivy Way NE, Keizer, on Saturday, March 18th from 10am to 2pm.
