Christi Lynn SpanglerMarch 24, 1964 - October 21, 2013Christi Lynn Spangler, 49, of Chubbuck, Idaho, passed away peacefully following a 5 year battle of ill health from her cancer surgery in 2008. She was born on March 24, 1964 to Wm. (Bill) D. Green and Mary Carleen Bennett in Goldendale, Washington. Christi graduated from Colfax High School in Colfax, Washington. During her school years, she enjoyed barrel racing and other Jr. Rodeo events with her horse, Geronimo. From the age of 12 until she graduated from high school, she worked at her mother's western wear and tack store along with a lady's boutique. Christi was a super salesman. She loved the customers and they loved her. In 1988, she moved to Mackay, Idaho to manage her father's bar, Perk's. It was there that she met Larry, the love of her life. They were married at Chubbuck, Idaho, where she lived until her death.She enjoyed being a homemaker. Christi is known in the area as "The Mustard Lady", Her homemade mustard was in demand from friends and family. She was a great cook and fed a lot of people throughout the years. Christi loved playing the piano and singing while Larry played the guitar. Her children and grandchildren loved those get-togethers. Christi is survived by: her husband, Larry D. Spangler Sr., children, Larry (Nanette) Spangler, Tamera (Chet) Christensen, Tina (Jason) Hall, Trent (Caralee) Spangler, all of Pocatello, Levi (Kamber) Spangler of Boise, a sister, Julie Niehenke and mother Carleen Bennett of Oakesdale, Wa., a brother, Bill Green of Mackay, Id., along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.Funeral services for Christi will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, October 28, 2013 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Rd., Chubbuck, ID 83202. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will follow services on Monday at Mt. View Cemetery, Pocatello, Id.
