Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 1:00 PM.Chippy was born on February 16, 1949 to the late Chippy Cook, Sr. and Katie Berry Cook. He was a graduate of Provine High School and attended the University of Southern Mississippi where he played football. He was a sponsor of the National Finals Rodeo (NFR) and showed AQHA and APHA halter horses across the country. Chippy was an avid Harley Davidson rider and loved to take trips all over the United States. He was one of many supporters of the Trail of Honor at the Harley Davidson shop in Jackson. He was a real estate investor, developing many properties throughout the Jackson area and was the owner of CG Cook and Company which specialized in banking construction. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Cook and daughter, Jennifer Leigh Cook.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Blair E.
