                                                           I'm Free

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free. I took his hand when I heard him call. I turned around and left it all. I could not stay another day to laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, Ive found the peace on a sunny day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joys. A family shared, a laugh, a kiss, Oh yes, these things, I too, will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief. Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts in peace to thee. God wanted me now, He set me free.

Cheryl Darlene Jackson (Courtney) was born August 20th, 1960 in Washington, D.C to the late Joseph Edward Courtney JR and Audrey Cecila Courtney (Green) (Deceased).  Cheryl attended Arlington Public schools and her most recent employment was at Filene's basement, JC Penney's, and AT&T.  Cheryl was comical, loving, and church-going. She served the Lord at Mt. Rona Baptist. Calvary Christian Church. Some of the things she enjoyed were,  word puzzles, watching the show, Big Brother House,  talking on the phone.

Final sayings from family: And final song Tamela Mann Take Me To The King

James Peters III: My mom was more than just a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandma and friend. She was known to carry energy like no other. She had a certain vibe that you felt from the moment you come across her. She was the most loving person I have known. She would truly give her last and put everyone else ahead of herself. What I will miss most is her words of encouragement and wisdom that she made sure to give me everyday and the smile she put on my face from her jokes. She is at peace with the Lord now and she prepared me to tackle everything that I will go through in life except one thing and that is how to live without her.
