On Tuesday, February 9th, 2016 Charles' battle with cancer was put to an end. Charles was born in Wilmington, North Carolina to the lovely Lilian B. Johnson and Charles F. Johnson Sr. He attended schools in Wilmington and soon after high school he left and headed to Washington, DC.

Starting his adult life he had his first son Charles Johnson Jr. Soon after, he had three daughters Lashawn, Ladonna, and Latonya Williams. He then met and married the love of his life Sherree L. Johnson where he helped raise Tamika and Anthony Blount. They were then blessed with two children of their own Shawntika and Antoine Johnson. Before Charles passed away, he and Sherree shared their first grandchild together, they were extremely excited about Reagan Anthanie Johnson.

Charles will be sadly missed by his siblings Carolyn Gore (Vander Gore Jr.), Nancy Bellamy (John Bellamy) Lois Woodhouse, and Timothy Johnson (Patricia Johnson). Charles also had a best friend that was more like a brother to him, Mickie. He leaves behind a legacy of eight children: Charles Johnson Jr., Tamika and Anthony Blount, LaShawn, LaDonna, and LaTonya Williams, and Shawntika and Antoine Johnson. His fourteen grandchildren: Charles Cowan, Zaquca Cain, Damon Brown, Leanne Johnson, Chyann Wicker, Tervondre , NaShaun, Mikyela, Charlie and Nyzir Williams, and London Robinson,Corinthian and D'Anthony Blount, and Reagan Anthanie Johnson.

Charles was proceeded in death his two parents Lilian and Charles F. Johnson Sr. In addition to his parents Charles was proceeded in death by his son Anthony W. Blount.

The memorial service for Charles F. Johnson will be held from 10am -12pm at Capital Mortuary Funeral Home on 1425 Maryland Ave NE Washington DC 20002. After the memorial service we will have the repast at 611 Edgewood St. NE 20017 in the community room.
