Charles A. Craig Sr., 86, Lebanon, died Friday, Oct. 28, 2016 in Louisville after an illness.He was born on Sept. 2, 1930 to the late Charles Alonzo Craig and Zora Christine Newcome Craig. He was a retired truck driver for Barton's Distillery.Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by: one sister, Barbara Ann Leake; and two grandchildren, Jessica Lori Craig and Charles Byron Craig.Survivors include: his wife, Theresa Martin Craig of Lebanon; three sons, Charles "Chuck" Craig Jr., John B. (Lu Ann) Craig, and Joe Mark (Jackie) Craig; two daughters, Mary Ann (Tim) Mattingly and Grace Hill (Stuart) Mattingly all of Lebanon; five sisters, Betty Jean Abell, Alma Wise, Rita Higdon, and Jewell Faye Williams all of Lebanon, and Wanda Lay of Louisville; 16 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with interment in the church cemetery.Pallbeares are (grandsons): Doug Thompson, Chas Craig, Jamie Abell, B.J. Craig, Michael Craig, Joe Craig, John Stuart Mattingly, Craig Mattingly, and Benjamin Mattingly.Honorary pallbearers are (granddaughters): Jennifer Short, Andrea Gribbins, Ann-Hill Thomas, Megan Mattingly, Chelsea Craig, and Lindsey Craig.Campbell-DeWitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
