Gatlin, Catherine Eloise Catherine Eloise Gatlin, 70 of Surprise passed away on January 24, 2017. She was born on October 16, 1946 in Glendale to the late Robert and Estelle Combs. Catherine is survived by her husband Jack Gatlin of 46 years, children Scott Gatlin and Laurie Mascia, grandchildren Hailey, Taylor, Dominic, Adyn, Jackson, Brody, Aaron and Sebastian and her sisters Roberta Large and Elizabeth Gatlin. She was a native to Arizona, and was a teacher for 34 years in the Washington Elementary School District. An avid reader, you could always find Catherine with a book in her hand. Family and friends are invited to attend services on Monday, January 30, 2017 with visitation from 10:00am to 12:00pm with a funeral service immediately following at 12:00pm at West Resthaven Funeral Home 6450 W. Northern Avenue in Glendale. She will be laid to rest at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale.
