McCormick, Catherine C.Catherine C. McCormick, 84, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away at her home in Green Bay on Thursday, June 8, 2017 after a long illness with family by her side. She was born on October 18, 1932 in Fond du Lac, WI to Henry and Leona Shea. Catherine was raised on a farm near Eden, WI. She graduated from St. Mary's Springs Academy in Fond du Lac in 1950. On October 20, 1951, Catherine was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Roy E. McCormick.She worked as a school secretary at Valley View Elementary School in the Ashwaubenon School District for many years prior to her retirement.Catherine and Roy were snowbirds to Buckeye, AZ for many years prior to her illness.She enjoyed going to their family cabin in northern Wisconsin, watching the Packers games with family, reading, and spending time with family and friends.Catherine is survived by her husband, Roy E. McCormick, Green Bay; three children: Kathleen (James) Wallen, Green Bay; Judeen (Michael) Sites, Seymour; and Patrick (Loni) McCormick, Green Bay; seven grandchildren, Kim (Bill) Krueger, Matthew Wallen, Melissa (Scott) Gwidt, Jessica Luke, Ryan (Kelsey) Luke, Benjamin (Ashley) McCormick, and Katherine McCormick; six great-grandchildren, Connor Trempe, Jacob Wallen, Maxwell Krueger, Spencer Krueger, Anthony Wallen, and Caitlyn Gwidt; a brother, William (Lisa) Shea; sister-in-law, Alice McCormick; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Shea; her mother, Leona (Shea) Andrews; father-in-law, Raymond Andrews; two sisters, Mary Anne Brickle and Helen Landerman; brothers-in-law, Roger Hamm, James Brickle, Robert Landerman, Earl McCormick, Jack McCormick; sister-in-law, Jean McCormick.Friends may call at St. Joseph Catholic Church, corner of Ninth St and 12th Ave., Green Bay, from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with Rev. Michael Shea, S.J. officiating. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.
