CAROLYN MITCHELL
LIMA — Carolyn Ann Mitchell, 80, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 12, 2016, in the company of her family. She was born on September 4, 1936, in Lima, Ohio, to Richard and Mary Roberts, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Tony Mitchell. They were married on June 5, 1955, at the Elm Street Church of the Brethren.
As lifelong residents of Lima they raised five children: Toni Ann (Bill) Schroeder, Lima; Sally (Dayton Fandray) Windle, Lima; Jenny (Wes) Wandell, Plainwell, Michigan; Rich (Julie) Mitchell, Edmond, Oklahoma; and Robb (Sue) Mitchell, Dublin, Ohio.
Carolyn has nine grandchildren: Angela and William Schroeder; Jenah, Robbie, and Mitchell Wandell; Zachary (Brooke) Mitchell and Seth (Kyrianna) Mitchell; and Corey and Colin Mitchell. Carolyn also has one brother, Don Roberts, who survives in Findlay, Ohio. A sister-in-law, Jean Roberts, preceded her in death.
Carolyn retired from the Old Barn Out Back after 32 years as their bookkeeper.
Carolyn was a beautiful, artistic soul who radiated joy and brought happiness to everyone around her.
A celebration of her life will held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 17, at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 1110 N. Metcalf St., Lima. The family will be available for friends at 10 a.m.
