CAROL A. HEILMAN, 69 FREEPORT - Carol A. Heilman, 69, of Freeport, died in her home on Tuesday, February 18, 2014. Carol was born on August 24, 1944, the daughter of Melvin and Gladys (Brinkmeier) Beidler. Carol married Donald Heilman in 1965. Carol worked for Micro Switch for over 30 years, retiring in 2007. She enjoyed working in the garden with her flowers and following the car races. Surviving are husband, Donald Heilman of Freeport; son, Todd Heilman of Freeport; daughter, Vicky (Chip) Losco of Cedarville; brother, Kenneth Beidler of Rockford; sisters, Delores Stewart of Freeport, Lorraine Quies of Rockford, Marilyn Cummins of Freeport, and Donna (Norman) Meinert of Davis; mother-in-law, Marjorie Heilman of Freeport; brother-in-law, Tracy Heilman of Freeport. Also surviving are five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, including special great-granddaughter, Jennifer; and her beloved dog, Benji. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; niece, Teresa; brother-in-law, William "Scott" Heilman; and father-in-law, William Heilman. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Rev. Diane Jochum will officiate. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of service.
