Carol A. Arent, age 76, passed away on Saturday, September 02, 2017, at Evergreen with her family by her side. She was born on March 4, 1941 to Leo and Apoline "Tina" (Marshall) Kuhs in Ripon. Carol graduated from Ripon High School and attended the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh for one year before becoming a licensed cosmetologist. She was married to Leslie Jergenson on September 30, 1961 in Ripon. Leslie preceded her in death on October 8, 1994. She then married Douglas E. Arent on November 6, 1999. He also preceded her in death on August 6, 2008. She was a teacher of cosmetology and also ran two salons in Oshkosh, New Image and Near North Professional Hair Stylists, before retiring in 2002. Carol enjoyed traveling and singing, and was a member of the Most Blessed Sacrament Choir.Carol is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Mark) Lindekugel of Oshkosh; son, Eric (Heidi) Jergenson of Castle Rock, Colorado; daughter of Douglas Arent, Rhonda (Todd) Zellmer; grandchildren, Nick, Nate and Matt Meitzen, and Ava and Charlie Jergenson; step grandchildren, Toby and Lukas Zellmer and Ryan and Jason Lindekugel; sister, Christine (Mickey) Wolff of Fond du Lac; brother, Jerry (Michelle) Kuhs of Dawsonville, GA; and several nieces and nephews.A memorial service for Carol will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11, at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church (830 S. Westhaven Dr.) with Fr. Tom Long officiating. Visitation will be held at church from 2:00 p.m. until to the time of the service. Inurnment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for Parkinson's Research in Carol's name.
