GASTONIA - Carl Ross Ramsey, 82, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Feb. 6, 2017, at the Robin Johnson House with his loving son and daughter in law by his side.He was born on April 21, 1934, in Gaston County to the late Ephriam and Susan Parker Ramsey.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Athalee "Lee" Brendle Ramsey; sisters, Margaret Ellen Ramsey and Juanita Watson.Carl was a loving and kind hearted man to everyone he knew and will be greatly missed! He was a member of East Belmont Baptist Church. Carl loved his family, grandchildren and his church. He enjoyed cooking and baking; he was known for his lemon pies! He was a veteran of the US Air Force and worked in sales in the Industrial Sewing Machine business for many years. Carl loved working and gave many years of dedicated service to his clients and worked until last year.He is survived by his son Jeff Ramsey and wife Tina; daughter Janet R. Bowen; grandchildren, Bradley Bowen (Luvina); Jeremy Bowen (Amanda), Jeffrey Ramsey (Stacy) and Brittany Ramsey; great grandchildren Gracie, Mallory, Joseph, Alex, Cameron, Carter, Donivan, Wyatt, Lily and Jackson; and a loving sister Ruby Caldwell and her daughter Margaret Ellen Pittman; special friends, JoAnn Green and Scotty WilliamsThe family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10 at East Belmont Baptist Church with a Celebration of Life service at 12:30 p.m., at East Belmont Baptist Church with the Rev.
