Calvin Johnson Jr. was born on September 4, 1950 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Calvin Johnson Sr. and Leola Johnson. Calvin attended Washington High School and worked at the United States Postal Service. In 1962 Calvin gave his life to Christ at Eighth Street Baptist Church.

Calvin was a humble person and very soft spoken. There is no dream that makes like a plan of Gods. Calvin was greeted in heaven by his father Calvin Johnson Sr. and his mother Leola Johnson. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Behyjrums Johnson (Michelle), and Sedrick Johnson. His grandchildren Bi'Anca Holmes, Chelle'Bee Johnson, and Bree Johnson. Also a large host of Aunts, Uncles, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
