DELAWARE — Carl A. Bennett, 86, a lifelong resident of Delaware, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at his son's residence in Delaware.
He was born on May 23, 1930, to the late Chris and Martha (Trippier) Bennett. He served his country as a member of the Ohio Army National Guard. He worked at Ranco Manufacturing for several years and later as a tree cutter.
Carl enjoyed working on cars and carburetors and he loved spending time with his family, especially playing and taking walks with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Carl is survived by his 3 sons, Carl (Brenda), Gary and Jodi (Brandi) Bennett; 9 grandchildren, Tracy (Lanny) White, Ace (Tara) Bennett, Brett Bennett, Brooke Case, Jake Bennett, Hannah Bennett, Joseph Bennett, Mariah Stover and Garrett Bennett; 11 great-grandchildren, Amber and Chaz Munday, Gavin White, Landon and Parker Bennett, Josh Case, Zachery Salimone, Conner Bennett, Maleya Stover, Jameson Borden and Macy Davidson; canine companion and best friend, Waylon.
In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine in 2012; and a daughter-in-law, Donna Ralph.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive (formerly 1510 W. William St.), Delaware, where funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will take place in Oak Grove Cemetery.
