Mr. Bruce Wayne Sheehan, 63, passed away on August 4, 2015 in Clyde, NC. Bruce was born on February 2, 1952 to Stella Frady Sheehan and Thomas Clifford Sheehan in Waynesville, NC. Bruce graduated from Tuscola High School in 1970 and joined the Navy in 1972, serving on the flight deck of the USS Independence. Bruce moved to Florida after his service and studied at Lake City Community College. He worked as a salesman for several companies before retiring from Sea Breeze Foods. Bruce loved the outdoors: he entered and won many fishing tournaments and enjoyed hunting, boating and knee-boarding on the local rivers. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and college football, cheering on the Seminoles. He also worked weekends as the Concessions Supervisor at Lake City Speedway. He spent his final years in Lake City with Carla Savage, enjoying his favorite pastimes: boating, grilling, and traveling. His final week was spent in his home town of Maggie Valley, NC where he reconnected with old friends and family. Bruce leaves his beloved son John (Nicole) Sheehan of Lake City, FL; Carla Savage of Lake City, FL; sister Shirley (Eddie) Stamey of Marion, NC; sister Thomasine (Ronnie) Riddle and brother Don (Lynne) Sheehan of Sylva, NC; brother Terry (Yolanda) Sheehan of Waynesville, NC; many nieces, nephews and friends; his black Lab Spooky; and Catahoula Hound Henry.
