Brian John Holland1940-2016Brian John Holland, died on Nov. 26, 2016 after a short battle with lung cancer. He was 76 years old. Brian was born on April 25, 1940 in Blackpool, England. He moved to the United States in 1958 following his sister, Norma. Brian joined the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam war. Brian always had a smile on his face and enjoyed life to the fullest. Brian was a lifelong bachelor, but he cared deeply for his sister and her children. Brian was a sports fanatic, having a passion for playing soccer, pool, golf, and tennis. He enjoyed traveling the world, whether it was sightseeing or fishing. He was a great pool player and played daily with his friends. Brian was an accomplished guitar player and singer, he played at local retirement centers and was a member of several musical groups in Country Place.Brian was a man with many friends. They remember his bright smile, admired that he always knew everyone's name, loved his wonderful voice and guitar playing and were grateful for his generous and open heart.He will be profoundly missed. Brian survived by his niece Lisa Holland Wilder and her husband Dale, his nephew Richard Holland and grandnephews Daniel Bryant, Brandon Wilder and grandniece Kristen Wilder.A celebration of life will be held for his close friends and family on Sunday.
