Boyd E. DennisLANCASTER: Boyd E. Dennis 73 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the Pickering House. He was born on April 9, 1943. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene Dennis and Garnet Dennis Ayers and an infant son, Edward Allen Dennis. Boyd was a graduate of Lancaster High School class of 1962. He had worked for Essex Wire, Anchor Hocking Glass Corp. Plant 2 in Lancaster, Ohio and later to retire from RCA in Circleville as a machinist. He was a member of Freedom Memorial Church of Christ in Christian Union and enjoyed refinishing antique furniture. Boyd is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Kay Rager Dennis; sons, Greg (Molly) Dennis of Sugar Grove, Ohio, Mark (Tammy Hatem)Dennis and Keith (Marcie) Dennis all of Lancaster, Ohio; grandchildren, Cody (Nicole) Dennis, Chelsey Dennis, Katelyn Dennis and Madison Dennis; great-grandchildren, Mason and Kinley Dennis; brother, Robert (Charlotte) Dennis of NC; special aunt and uncle, Alberta and George Ellis; many nieces, nephews and cousins. A special thanks to the nurses of the 5th floor at Fairfield Medical Center and the staff at Hocking Hills Dialysis Center for their Care of Boyd.Caring Cremation® has taken place by the FRANK E. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Freedom Memorial Church of Christ in Christian Union, 999 Church St., Logan, Ohio 43138 with Pastor Iris Conrad officiating.
