BILLY J. GIBBS September 22, 1953 December 4, 2016 Billy J. Gibbs, age 63, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 4, 2016 at VNA Hospice in Valparaiso. He was born on September 22, 1953 in Jackson, KY to the late James and Juanita (nee McIntosh) Gibbs. Bill was a Crane Operator for Arcelor Mittal. He was a member of United State Steel Workers Union 6787 and a member of NRA. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Donna (nee Clark) Gibbs; son, Timothy (Tanya) Gibbs of Portage; daughter, Carol Gibbs- Pridmore of Bowling Green, Kentucky; two grandchildren: Zach and Kyle Pridmore of Kentucky; four brothers, Denzil, Charles, "Denise", Winfred "Tammy" and Walter Gibbs; four sisters: Reva Thomas "Terry Hayes", Anetta "Daryl" Bowman, Brenda Keller and Rhonda Wheeler; numerous nieces and nephews, other loving family members and friends, and furry companion, Bo. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wendell Gibbs. Visitation for Bill will be Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Olson Chapel, 5341 Central Ave., Portage. A funeral service will take place Friday, December 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with an hour of visitation prior to the service. Cremation will follow.
