Beverly Jane Callahan AshbyMay 2,1945 - May 12, 2017Beverly Jane Callahan Ashby, loving mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at the Big Bend Hospice House on May 12, 2017.Beverly was born on May 2, 1945 in Tallahassee, Florida, where she lived until 1952, when her family moved to Fort Walton Beach, Florida. She lived there until 1963 when her family moved back to Tallahassee, where she lived most of her life, except for a couple of years she Spent in Oklahoma City.Beverly is predeceased by her parents, Margaret and Roy Callahan; grandparents, Ann and John Cavanaugh; one brother. Butch Callahan; one niece, Doris Losey; and one nephew, Michael Roberts. She now joins those she loved so much in heaven.She leaves to mourn her passing five children: Gerald Caldwell (Michelle), Sean Davis (Roni), Cindy Sikes, T. J. Ganey, Melissa Ganey (Roger Cain); six grandchildren: Cameron Davis, Bud Sikes, Justin Sikes, Jessica Sikes, Grayson Ganey, Ocean Anderson, Gabi Lugo, and Chandler Kirkland; two sisters, Annette Roberts (Dave) and Carolyn Losey (Jerry); two brothers: Ronald Callahan (Teresa) and Donald Callahan (Jackie); her former husband and soulmate. Tommy Ashby; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Her greatest joy and happiness centered around her children and grandchildren. She loved them immensely and they were truly the sunshine in her life. She was such a loving person, mother, grandmother and sister. She never quit trying to show those she loved how much she loved them. She was simply a remarkable person.The family extends their gratitude to Big Bend Hospice for their compassionate care for Beverly during her last days. The family also extends their gratitude to ICS Funeral Services of Lake City, Florida for their compassionate and endearing services provided to the family during this difficult time.Flowers may be delivered on June 9th to the family at 3654 Ocleon Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32312.
