She was a 1965 graduate of Stratford High School. She married Lawrence H. "Lory" Spring on August 11, 1978. He died on January 15, 2010 and she missed him dearly. Betty was employed as assistant health coordinator at Head Start, beginning in Wisconsin Rapids from 1972 until 1980. She later worked as a supervisor at K-Mart in Marshfield. She also was the bookkeeper for Spring Electric and worked in housekeeping at St. Joseph's Hospital. Betty was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. Her family was number one and her door was always open. She was a very strong woman and had a beautiful smile. She found joy in being at the river, spending time with family, riding horses and testing whatever lawn mowers could endure her lawn! She is lovingly survived by her children, Joe Spring of Stevens Point, Robert (Maria) Spring of Cornell, Michigan, Kristine (Dale) Federwitz of Stratford and John Paul (Laura) Spring of Spring Creek, Nevada. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael, Ashley, Savannah, Taylor, Connor, Jacob, Hailey, Shandi, Nevaeh and Lawrence Oliver and great grandchildren, Lawrence Earl, Kaylynn and Carter. She is further survived by 2 sisters-in-law, Heidi Grossenbacher of West Salem, OH and Marlene Busche of Stratford, several special nieces and nephews, a special friend, Roger Darr of Marshfield and a special cousin, James (Jeanette) Koppa of Spokane, WA. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence and her parents. Condolences may be sent online to
