Betty Harris April 6th 1937 - January 23rd 2018 , passed away at 80 years old due to diabetes and congestive heart failure. She was born on April 6th, 1937 in Dallas, TX to Mae and Wilbert Brown.
Betty eloped and married her longtime best friend and love, Robert Harris in August 1953 who proceeded her in death in 2011. Betty spent most of her time caring for her children and grandchildren.
Betty leaves behind 3 children Jordan, Robert Jr., and Annie Harris, who loved and cared for her until Bettys last days. She also survived by her grandkids, Mike Washington, Fredreka Washington, Allie Washington, Fred Washington Jr, and Andrew Harris.
Betty had many things that made her special, such as her knitting skills and cooking. Everyone loved her cooking-it was to die for! Nothing like Grandmas cookies. Betty was a mentor to many and never had a bad thing to say about anyone she was such a giver and forgiving person there was nothing she wouldn't do for the ones she loved. Her life was a living example of her favorite bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ."
Bettys love and care went further than her friends and family. She was a CNA for 14 years before retiring helping many. She was a good woman all around and will forever be missed by friends all around the world, United States, and England.
