Betty Madison was born on December 2012 in Macon, Georgia to the late Jim Arthur and Carrie Madison. Betty Madison transitioned this life on January 1st, 2019 at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. 

She worked as a housekeeper for many years. She was a member of Miracle Temple in Thomasville, Georgia under the leadership of Deller Green. She served as mother of the church for many years. 

She enjoyed cooking, baking, teaching Sunday school, singing and playing a piano. She married Henry Lee Mathis who preceded her in death on 1995.
