Betty Lee Rousseau, a long-time resident of the Columbus area, died Monday the 15th of January at St Ann's Medical Center.
Born in 1940 in Columbus, Ohio, Betty received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Education from Ohio State University in 1951. She continued her education at the University from which she received her M.Ed. in Nursing in 1965.
Betty taught Nursing at the Ohio State Community College in the mid-1960s and worked at various psychiatric nursing facilities throughout central Ohio in the 1970s. In a career shift, she took a position as a librarian assistant at Franklin County Technical School, Columbus, where she worked until her retirement.
Betty loved good food and socializing, enjoyed going to movies and plays with friends, and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.
She is survived by her daughter, Mimi Rousseau; and her sons, Justin and Bjorn Hunsinger, all of whom live in central Ohio and brought great joy to Betty in her later years of life.
The Douglass Funeral Service, Columbus, has been entrusted with arrangements.
