Betty Lee Husted, 83, of Tawas City passed away March 8, 2015, after a sudden decline at Fishers Senior Care in Mayville, with family by her side. She was the daughter of Minnie Alveda (Willey) and Charles Oliver Fitch. Betty was born on Jan. 31, 1932 in Flint and attended Flint Central High School, Class of 1950. She retired as head housekeeper from the Iosco Country Medical Care Facility, and was known for keeping a spotless home. Betty was also known for being outspoken and as a prolific story teller. She loved to bake, brag about her grandchildren, her beloved bird Cindy, and just to sit and talk with friends. Betty was preceded in death by her longtime partner, Robert Edward Baker; her son, Michael Charles Husted; and her parents. She is survived by her boyfriend of seven years, Basil Bundy of Tawas City; her sister, Donna; and her sons, Mark (Lorrie) Husted and Matthew (Kristina) Husted. Betty is also survived by grandchildren, Jessica (Jacob) Posega, Mark (Michelle), Stephanie, Nicholas, Jordan (Ben) Ertman and Noah (Jaylynn) Seger; great grandchildren, Luke, Brooke, Isabelle, Caleb and Bailey; and many nieces and nephews. At Betty's request she was cremated and no memorial will be held.
