Betty Jean GooldBrigham City - Betty Jean Knowlton Collmar Goold, 87, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the Brigham City Hospital.I was born on August 2, 1926 in Logan Utah a daughter of Mary Watkins and George Franklin Knowlton. On May 31, 1946 I married Hubert E. "Butch" Collmar, in the Logan LDS Temple. We became parents of four children, divorcing in 1983. I later married Norris Winsor Goold on November 21, 1987 in the Logan LDS Temple.I was an active member of the LDS Church and my family was my life. My hobbies were sewing and dressmaking, knitting, crocheting, various types of handwork, ceramics, etc. All this gave way to an interest in writing family histories beginning with my own, then my parents and great-grandparents. This is a legacy I wish to leave with my posterity. Surviving are my children: Dennis Collmar, Diane (Rick) Zundel and Jeff (Kristina) Collmar, 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also seven Goold step-children and many step- grandchildren.I was preceded in death by my husband Norris, son Bruce and two grandsons.My funeral will be Friday, May 9, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the Brigham City 11th Ward Chapel, 506 S. 200 East Brigham City.Friends may call on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 East, Brigham City and on Friday from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. at the Church.Interment will be in the Logan Cemetery.Condolences may be sent to the family at www.myers-mortuary.com.
