Blasczyk, Betty JaneBetty Jane Blasczyk, 86, Green Bay, died Sunday, October 15, 2017. She was born on October 8, 1931, in Green Bay to John and Mayme "Mary" Maus.Betty was a graduate of Green Bay West High School, Class of 1949. On April 22, 1950, she married her beloved husband of 67 years, Michael A. Blasczyk. Betty was very proud of her large family, with whom she enjoyed doing whatever she could to help them in every way. She also loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Betty liked sewing, baking, doing her circle-a-word book, putting together puzzles, and going to the cottage in Lakewood. During her younger years, she worked as a waitress, cleaned offices, and worked Packer concession stands for Kress, all while raising her eight children. She enjoyed bartending in her neighborhood, and finally owned The Rendezvous in Green Bay for many years until retirement. Betty volunteered at her church, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, cleaning.She is survived by her children, Diane (Ken) Szczepanski, Mike (Cathi) Blasczyk, Jim (Ginny) Blasczyk, Jo Ann (Joe) Frisque, Dennis (Wendy) Blasczyk, Steve (Karen) Blasczyk, Gloria (Karl) Plog, Randy (Julie) Blasczyk; nephew, Lloyd (Ann) Wishart; 22 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; sister, Dora Van Dreel; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Betty was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Irene (Clarence) Jolly, Rose (Roy) Barrette, Marie (Lloyd Sr.) Wishart; Jackie Maus; brother-in-law, Les Van Dreel.Friends may call at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2771 Oakwood Dr., from 12 noon to 3:30 p.m. Friday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday with Rev. Paul Demuth officiating. Entombment will be in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family.
