Betty L. HarrSeptember 15, 1933 - June 18, 2017Williamsport, MDBetty Lorraine Harr, 83, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Chambersburg Hospital Chambersburg. She was born on September 15, 1933 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Charles Victor and Mabel Lieucretia Shumaker Rowe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Harr in 1993.Betty was a 1951 graduate of Williamsport High School Williamsport, MD. She was a Homemaker. In her earlier years she worked at the Federal Silk Mills in Williamsport, MD and Maryland Ribbon in Hagerstown, MD.She was a member of Williamsport United Methodist Church Williamsport, MD where she was a Sunday School Teacher. Betty lived in Williamsport all her life.Betty was also a member of Red Feather Council #59 Degree of Pocahontas Williamsport, MD and Potomac Post #202 American Legion Auxiliary Williamsport, MD.She is survived by her daughter, Kathy I. Doty of Chambersburg; son, Gregory G. Reed of Martinsburg, WV; son, Charles D. Reed; sister, Rosalie Horchner of Greencastle; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her lifelong best friend, Neva Martin of Halfway, MD. She was predeceased by her daughter, Linda K. Reed; two brothers, Homer Rowe and Charles Rowe; sister, Margaret Rhodes; and a granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, MD, on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 11 AM with the Rev. Susan Boehl officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday from 10 to11 AM.
