Betty Ann Baugus, 84, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on October 24, 2016 in The Woodlands, Texas. She was born on July 15, 1932 in Whitney, Texas to John Ruby Waits and Floy Elizabeth Heath Waits.

Betty married Bryant Allen Baugus on August 25, 1947 in Meridian, Texas. In 1962 they moved to Conroe in South Montgomery County where they raised three children and owned and operated a successful construction business. Her life was devoted to her children, her grandsons and her work. She loved spending time with her family and friends and she could not wait to get to the ballpark. At the ballpark, she was simply known as Grandma to everyone. Betty was also the leader of "The Who Haas" which consist of John and Margaret Waits, Ginia and CW Hopkins, and Doris Willyard, her precious brothers and sisters that she loved so dearly. She was a member of Alana Lane Baptist Church where she served and worshipped for many years.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Bryant Allen Baugus and her daughter, Charlotte Ann Baugus.

She is survived by her son, Bryant Allen Baugus, Jr. and wife LaVerne Baugus of Conroe, daughter, Deborah Kay Klein and husband Michael Klein of Conroe, grandchildren, Galen Baugus and April Havard of Conroe, John Baugus and Lisa DiPlacido of Houston, and Tyler Klein and wife Kristen Klein of Austin.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Alana Lane Baptist Church. Donations can be made to Alana Lane Baptist Church, 311 Alana Lane, Spring, Texas 77386.
