Beth J. PeckDecember 17, 1927 - August 3, 2014Beth J. Peck, 86, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014 at her home. She was born on December 17, 1927 to Dorse Jensen and Julia Kemp in McCammon. She grew up in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1946. She was an usherette at both the Orpheum and the Chief Theatres which is where she met her husband. She married Harvey Peck on April 11, 1948 in Pocatello, Idaho. Their first vehicle was a '45-45 Harley Davidson motorcycle and they rented a 15 foot trailer house that they called home. Beth was happy to get a new mode of transportation, a 1936 Ford Coupe. Together they had two sons, Rick, born in 1951, and Gary, born in 1964. In her younger years, she worked at Phillips Refinery and later as a personnel director at Farmers Insurance. In 1964 she started keeping books for the family run business HD Peck Trucking. In 1954, Harvey and Beth built their home on Hyde Ave. under the GI bill and have lived there for 60 years. Beth enjoyed quilting, crocheting and sewing. She was very involved and dedicated to her PHS class of 1946 making photo albums and planning reunions. Beth is survived by her husband, Harvey; sons, Rick (Sandy), Boulder City, NV, and Gary, Pocatello, ID; four grandchildren, Tracy, Jennifer, Kyle, and Alexia; two great-grandchildren, Hailey and Alisha; sister, Beverly Rafferty, Ogden, UT. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wayne Jensen, and a set of twins at birth. A viewing for Beth will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 1 to 2 PM at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, ID.
