ALBION — Beth Eileen Brumbaugh, 94, of Albion, passed away at 8:50 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at North RidgeVillage in Albion. Mrs. Brumbaugh was born on September 1, 1919, in Swan Township, Noble County, a daughter of Robert and Ada (Graber) Cooley. On March 30, 1935, she was married in Noble County to R. Gerald Brumbaugh. Mrs. Brumbaugh was a member of the Churubusco United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Mr. Brumbaugh preceded her in death in June of 1986. The surviving relatives include a son, Ken (Susan) Brumbaugh of Albion; a daughter, Karen (Paul) Helmkamp of Fort Wayne; a daughter-in-law, Janet Brumbaugh of Albion; a sister, Jean Lockheart of Kendallville; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by her son, Loren J. "Jake" Brumbaugh, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Churubusco United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Corinne Boruff-Stucker officiating. The family will receive friends at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, or one hour prior to the service Friday. Burial will be in the Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.
