Bertha Gonzalez, 55 passed away Saturday July 25, 2015. She was born to Alberto Rocha Retiz, and Maria De La Luz Rocha Rodriguez, August 27, 1959. Bertha was raised and attended school in La Union, Coahuila. On May 14, 1976 she was united in marriage to Ricardo Gonzalez in La Union, Coahuila. In 1976 they moved to McAllen, TX.

Bertha started working for Tiara in Texas as a sales associate, where she became a top seller until 1998. She was self-employed in sales at the time of her passing. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking for everyone, carrying conversations, and simply spending time with her family and children.

Bertha was an exceptional woman of strong faith who was devoted to God and her family above all else. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a woman of extraordinary faith who made the lives of all she came in contact with better. Her family and friends were the center of her life and they will forever remember her for her love, honesty, purity, kindness, compassion, devotion, selflessness, hard work and for all the countless sacrifices she made for her loved ones. The manner in which she lived will serve as the example to her children on how to lead ones life. 

Bertha is survived by her 6 children: Alma Jessica Gonzalez (Francisco Rios), Ricardo Gonzalez Jr. (Liz Lucio ), Jose Daniel Gonzalez (Guadalupe Muniz), Myra Yvette Rodriguez (Rolando Rodriguez), Elizabeth Estelle Gonzalez (Ramiro Garza ), and Cassandra Michele Gonzalez . She also is survived by 13 grandchildren: Nately, Valerie, Luis, Ricky, Desiree, Lexie, Danny, Andres, Tifanee, Rolando, Orlando, Destinee and Ramirito. 

Visitation will be held from 1:00pm-9:00pm with a 7:00pm Rosary on July 28, 2015 & 9:00am - 9:00pm with a 7:00pm Rosary on July 29, 2015, at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. Funeral service will take place on Thursday July 30, 2015 at 1:00pm at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church in Alton. Interment will follow at Lord & I Cemetery.
