Bertha J. FalklerYorkBertha Janet (Smith) Falkler, 92, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Irvin S. Falkler.Mrs. Falkler was born on February 5, 1924, daughter of the late Vincent and Ethel (Matthews) Smith.She was a graduate of Kennard Dale High School and the York Hospital School of Nursing and was employed as a nurse within the West York School District and later as a private duty nurse.Bertha was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, York.Survivors include, daughter, Susan C. Terry and her husband, Robert of Dillsburg; two granddaughters, Jennifer Schroeder of Mechanicsburg and Courtney McCullough of York; three great-grandchildren, Zachary and Megan Schroeder and Kaitlyn McCullough; and a brother, Harold Smith of Dubois.Private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Prospect Hill Cemetery.They family has requested, memorial contributions be made to the -York Division, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17601 or to the of Greater Pennsylvania, The Gulf Tower, 707 Grant St., 37th floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.Arrangements by the Koller Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Inc., York.
