Bernice L. EstadtZANESVILLE: Bernice L. Estadt, 93, of Zanesville, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Friday October 14, 2016 at Brookdale of Zanesville. She was born on October 21, 1922 in Sonora, a daughter of the late Floyd and Carrie (Marshel) Leasure. She was a former cook for 23 years in the Maysville School District. She had been a member of the Growing Together CCL, longtime member of White Cottage United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Sunday School program and other church activities, member of the White Cottage Homemakers Extension. She enjoyed playing euchre and baking cookies. She is survived by one daughter Donna Gatewood. One granddaughter Angie (Joe) Sipos. Three great-grandchildren Connor, Cameron, and Chloe Crowley. One sister Mildred (Dean) Dozer. Two nephews Bob Gale and Allen Dozer. Three nieces Becki Floom, Elaine Cox, and Beth Randolph. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Estadt. One granddaughter Lisa Fisher. Two sisters Lillie May Kennison and Bertha Gale. Two brothers-in-law Bill Kennison and Lawrence Gale. Special thanks to Genesis Hospice and Brookdale for their excellent care. No calling hours will be held. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Mon. Oct. 17, 2016 at Wesley Union Cemetery with Rev. Clyde Boring officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care. WILLIAM THOMPSON & SON FUNERAL HOME in White Cottage is assisting the family.
