Bernard F. ThompsonSOUTH ZANESVILLE: Bernard F. Thompson, 88, of South Zanesville, passed away at 3:49 a.m. Tue. Jan. 24, 2017 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House. He was born on Sept. 27, 1928 in Zanesville, a son of the late Clarence and Laura Thompson. He was a United States Army veteran serving his country during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired custodian, working over 20 years at Philo High School. He loved his dog Max.He is survived by one daughter Jill (Justen) Riley. Three grandchildren Kirby, Kade, and Kale. One great-granddaughter Myra One sister-in-law Ruth Thompson, niece Karen Jacolenne, nephew Randy Thompson all of Zanesville. Nephew Chuck Grubb of McConnelsville, niece Debbie Cornes of Blue Rock. Numerous other nieces and nephews who reside outside the Zanesville area. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers Dean, Leland, and Cloyd and one sister Pauline.No calling hours or funeral services will be held.
