Bernadita "Berna" Griego, 86, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015.She is survived by her husband, Albino Griego; brothers and sisters, Joe Romero (Mabel), Gloria Ledger (Ernie), Tilly Cruz (Ed), Arabella Clouthier (Adolf), and Diane Urioste (Charlie); children, Walter, Joseph, Doris (Richard), James, Dennis (Lillian), Floyd (Lisa), Elizabeth, Lorena, Libby (Larry), Evelyn, Roxanne, Derrick (Tanya); 36 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents, Eusebio Romero and Dora Archuleta; brothers, John and Margarito Romero, and daughter, Elca Griego-Chavez.She was born on July 3,1928 and was a lifelong resident of Guadalupita. Berna was a devoted member of the Catholic Church, where she married Albino in 1945. She was also a member of The Legion of Mary. She was a loving wife of 69 years and a mother of 12 children, and cared for many others in her family.Funeral services for Berna will be held on Saturday at St. Gertrude Catholic Church as follows: Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m., followed by celebration of the Funeral Mass by Father Paul Grala, SOLT at 10 a.m. Burial services will follow at the Guadalupita Cemetery.
