Benefacio Umali has been called back by our Lord on November 11, 2020. Bene was born on June 03, 1930 in Batangas, Philippines. At 18 years old he married the love of his life, Zenaida Umali. Where they had Benefacio Jr. (aka BJ) just one year later. At the age of 20, he joined the Navy where he then moved his family to San Diego, California. He served for 26 years and we were all so proud of his accomplishments. He later decided to join his sister Belinda at Detroit, Michigan. He lived the remaining part of his life in Detroit while still making constant visits to his extended family in California.

Manong Bene was known for his big, caring heart. He leaves behind his beautiful wife Ma\'am Naida and his handsome son BJ. Thank you for your service and all that you have done Manong Bene! We love you so much and miss you dearly! Until we meet again!
