Scherbert, Belva ElaineBelva Elaine Scherbert, 68, Russells Point, OH, passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Indian Lake Rehabilitation Center, Lakeview, OH.She was born on September 11, 1948, in Bellefontaine, OH, to the late Norman V. and Eleanor J. Fay Cummins. On October 14, 1977, in Milwaukee, WI. she married James William Scherbert and he preceded her in death on May 30, 2008. She was also preceded in death by siblings Everett L. Cummins, Nedra J. (Paul) Fry and Kirby C. (Lynn) Cummins.She is survived by a son, Jeromy J. (Lisa) Scherbert of West Allis WI, two grandchildren Paige Elizabeth Scherbert and Lucas James Scherbert and a sister, Mary Anne (Michael) Rice. Belva was known as Aunt Belvs to her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and especially to her loving nieces and caregivers, Brenda and Michelle. She is also survived by many close friends and her forever fur friends, Bella and Annie.Belva was a 1966 graduate of Indian Lake High School and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in education from The Ohio State University in 1975. She was formerly employed with Affinity Health Systems in Appleton, WI and Regional Education Service Center-Logan County as a substitute. She was a member of the Russells Point Women's Club and was a Logan County Precinct Election Official. Belva enjoyed visiting her grandchildren in Wisconson for special occasions and spending time with her nieces and nephews and their families.A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at 3:00 pm at McDonald Twp. Hall, 5302 St. Rt. 67, Kenton, OH.Memorial contributions may be given in her name to Universal Home Health and Hospice 701 S.
