Young, age 90, died Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the Oaks at Northpointe Woods.Beatrice was born on January 10, 1927, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Felix and Gregoria Rodriguez. She had been an area resident since 1942 coming from Laredo, TX. Beatrice Lived in Chicago until 1933 then moved to Laredo, Texas until moving to Battle Creek. She was a graduate of W.K. Kellogg Agricultural School in 1945. She was employed at Kellogg's from 1950 to 1960 and then with Defense Logistics Service from 1964 to 1987. On March 4, 1946, she was united in marriage to Charles T. Young who preceded her in death on November 14, 1999. She was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church and enjoyed playing golf.Surviving are her children, Greg (Betty )Young of Davison, MI and Terry (Debbie) Young of Battle Creek; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Darlene) Rodriguez of Lakeland, FL. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Young; sisters, Betty Ann Weemes, Maud Reid and Lillian Toler; a brother, Matias Rodriguez.Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4:00 p.m. and 6 to 8:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at St. Jerome Catholic Church with Fr. Christopher Ankley officiating.
