Beatrice P. VidalLansingPassed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the age of 80. Beatrice was born on May 4, 1936 to Rafael and Nicolasa Pena in Brownsville, TX. She and her husband Pedro moved to the Lansing area in 1970 where they raised their children and she became a longtime member of St. Therese Parish. She loved scratch offs, puzzles, Mexican music and dancing, but most of all spending time with her family was her true passion. She is preceded in death by her husband in 1983, 2 infant daughters, a son Lucio Vidal, 2 son-in-law's; Doug Bullion and Reynaldo Cabello, 2 brothers, and a sister. She is survived to cherish her memory by her 12 children; Rolando (Rebecca) Vidal, Pedro Vidal Jr., Esmeralda (Jose) Garcia, Nora (Esteban) Vidal-Escamilla, David C. Vidal, Linda Bullion, Roberto (Lupe) Vidal, Martina Vidal, Alma Vidal-Silva, Marisela (Gilberto) Vidal-Rodriguez, Nicolasa Vidal, and Lucio (Tiffany) Vidal, special daughter Rosa (Elias) Marin, brother Francisco (Linda) Pena, sister Irene Sanchez, 40 grandchildren, and many loving great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Therese Parish with Rev. Fr. John Fain as Celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday at the church at 10:00 a.m. Contributions may be made to St. Therese in memory of Beatrice.
