Olsen, BarbaraBarbara Olsen, age 74, of Stevens Point passed away peacefully Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Saint Clare's Hospital in Weston.Funeral services for Barb will be at 10:00 AM Friday April 7, 2017 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Plover. Pastor Ben Sheets will officiate. Friends and family will gather to share memories Thursday April 6, 2017 from 4-7 PM at Shuda Funeral Chapel - Stevens Point and again Friday from 9-9:45 AM at church.Barb was born on June 24, 1942 the daughter of Paul and Ida (Marshall) Tompkins in Hinsdale, IL. Barb and her family later moved to Wabeno, WI where she attended local schools and graduated from Wabeno High School in 1961. In 1964 Barb married Robert Olsen. Throughout Barb's life she worked in many aspects of the food and restaurant industry. Barb was an avid Packers fan and also enjoyed reading, painting, making afghans, and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren.Barb is survived by her husband: Robert Olsen, Stevens Point. 2 children: Robert Olsen Jr., Stevens Point; and Christina (Jery) Kolodziej, Plover. 3 grandchildren: Codie Olsen, Stevens Point; Anthony Kolodziej, Plover; and Haiely Kolodziej, Plover. 2 Sister -in-laws: Angela Tompkins, Wabeno, WI; and Judy (Frank) Francart, Neenah, WI and brother-in-law: Roger Olsen, Green Bay.She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Jon.Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.shudafuneral.com
