Barbara Lassiter Goble Raleigh Barbara Lassiter Goble, 91, of Raleigh died Friday November 25, 2016. Barbara was born on January 20, 1925 in Apex, NC to the late Leslie Allen Lassiter and Alice Lillian Thomasson Lassiter. She was retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company. She was a former member of Providence Baptist Church and most recently was a member of Christ Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlis C. Gobel in 1973. Surviving are her son, Gregory Miller Goble of Wilmington, NC and a grandson, Mark Miller Goble of Richmond, VA. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 2, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 Saint Mary's St. Raleigh. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Montlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ Baptist Church or The Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina at Lake Waccamaw.
