Barbara Jean Gramkan, passed away on August 12th, 2019 of pancreatic cancers, she was 76. A lifetime resident of the SF Bay Area, Barbara was a graduate of Mills High School in Burlingame, Ca, thereafter earning her degree in business from San Francisco State. It was while attending high school Barbara met her late husband of 41 years, James Gramkan, they married on September 21, 1968. In 1971 Barbara and James moved into their first home on Chula Vista Drive in Belmont, becoming first time parents to their son Jeffrey Gramkan. Two years later their daughter, Jennifer Gramkan was born. That same year, 1974, they found their forever home in San Carlos, Ca, where they remained for 43 years. Barbara was a proud grandmother to 3 beautiful granddaughters, Gina, Sarah, and Amanda Gramkan and great grandmother to Teveti. Barbara had many life long friendships, reminiscing often about the memories they all shared together. Her loving and infectious spirt will remain within our hearts forever. Now living her best life, with her soulmate by her side, released from the crippling pain she had suffered for many years. It’s hard imagining ever feeling whole again without you, but comforted knowing how many loved ones are there waiting to welcome her home. Preceded in death husband, James Gramkan, parents Eugene and Madalaine Barth, and brother James Barth. Survived by her children Jeffrey and Jennifer Gramkan, brother William Barth, granddaughters, Gina, Sarah and, Amanda Gramkan, great granddaughter Teveti, nephews Marcedel Sims and Donald Barh, and sisters-in-law Marianne and Dona Barth. A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held on Sunday, September 22nd at the family home, 90 Curry Court San Carlos, Ca 94404 between 1-4pm. Come share your memories as we celebrate Barbara.
