Audrey Grace Luptonage 17, passed away in the early hours of July 6, 2017, in the arms of her family after a battle with cancer. Audrey was born on May 14, 2000, in Indianapolis to Suzann and Jonathan Lupton.After graduating from St. Richard's Episcopal School, Audrey attended University High School in Carmel where she was a rising senior.  Thanks to the work of faculty and staff at University, Audrey was able to participate in an early graduation ceremony during which she received her diploma as well as several college admissions letters, including to Butler University, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and St. Olaf College, where her brother Andrew is currently a student.Audrey was active in school and participated in a wide variety of activities including serving as a student government representative and leading the school's Model United Nations Club.  She ran cross-country and enjoyed rowing with the Indianapolis Rowing Center at Eagle Creek.  When not at school, Audrey volunteered for community programs, including the Horizon's Summer Enrichment Program.  Audrey was a gifted and joyful artist whose work won local awards and recognition.  She aspired to a career that combined her interest in visual arts and writing.She loved the outdoors and often pestered teachers to move class meetings outside.  She enjoyed biking, hiking, and camping with friends.  Audrey particularly enjoyed summer adventures at Camp Miniwanca in Michigan.  Audrey worked to protect the environment.  She loved dogs of all kinds.  Audrey's warm smile, wit, and genuine kindness made her irresistible to most everyone she met.  She attracted and maintained a large and diverse group of friends.  She nurtured people and inspired them to consider new ideas and champion new causes.In addition to her parents, Audrey leaves behind her dear brother, Andrew Baker Lupton, as well as her maternal grandparents, Donald and Carolyn Weber and paternal grandparents, William and Patricia Lupton.Visitation will be held at Crown Hill Mortuary on Monday, July 17, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.  A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18, at Historic Landmarks Center, 1201 Central Avenue, Indianapolis.In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to The Audrey Fund For Good at University High School, 2825 West 116th Street, Carmel, Indiana, 46032, or at www.universityhighschool.org, or to benefit Riley Hospital's palliative care program care of Riley Children's Foundation, 30 South Meridian Street, Suite 200, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46204.  Please include Audrey's name in the memo line.
