Pierson, Artie Wohner.,91, returned to her Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 21, 2017.Artie was born on April 25, 1925 in Washington, Co., KY to the late Ester and Bertha Grigsby Wohner. She was a retired school bus driver with JCPS, a member of the Eastern Star and a member of Farmdale Baptist Church. Her husband, Walter V. Pierson and her Son Barry Pierson have preceded her in death. Here to carry on her beautiful memory are her children, Phillip Pierson (Janice) and Shirley Brown (Daniel); grandchildren, Nannette Jarosh, and Paul and Nicholas Brown; great grandchildren, Eleni and Alex Jarosh, Lauren Thurman, Ashley and Silas Brown; along with 3 brothers. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff and caregivers at sally's garden for all the love and care given to Artie. A visitation will be from 9-12am Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. The funeral service will take place at 12 pm on Wednesday, with the burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the Masonic home of Louisville.
