King, age 81, of Higgins Lake passed away on Tuesday June 6, 2017 following an ATV accident. Art was born on November 20, 1935 in Port Huron, Michigan to James & Margaret (Erard) King. He married Gloria J. Sharp on February 13, 1964 in Port Huron. The couple moved to Higgins Lake over 30 years ago. Art was a member of the Houghton Lake Moose, Houghton Lake Elks, and Laborers Local 463 of Port Huron. He enjoyed playing pool in 3 different pool leagues, fishing, hunting, and watching baseball. Art is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Gloria King of Higgins Lake, children; Cynthia (Craig) Richards of Port Gratiot, Scott (Cindy) Perkins of Port Huron Township, Jeffery B. Perkins of Port Huron Township, Dee (Dan) Blake of Marysville and Greg (Tamra) King of St. Clair, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, James and sister Carol. Per Art's wishes cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time.
