Molay, Arthur "Art" Frank DDS Art Molay passed away at age 103 on March 2nd, 2017 in Peoria, AZ. He was born on September 15th, 1913 in No. Plainfield, NJ. to Louis and Tillie Molay. Art served as a PFC in the US
Army and later as a Captain in the
US Air Force during WWII. Dr. Molay graduated from the
University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1946. He practiced Dentistry in Chicago and Phoenix, retiring in 1979. Dr. Molay was a member of Temple Beth Shalom in Sun City, AZ. He was a Past Master 1987, of Wayfarer's Masonic Lodge #50 and a member of the Jewish War Veterans Post #194. He was a volunteer at St. Mary's Food Bank at the "Kids Cafe" for more than 10 years. He was an avid reader of mystery books. He enjoyed woodcarving and making fine metal jewelry. He enjoyed tinkering with small technological devices and loved to garden. Art was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Frieda "Fritzie" Molay and his brother, Lester Molay. Art is survived by his daughter, Barbara Baker of Mill Valley, CA as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He had many friends who loved him and will miss him, especially Phyllis Jacobs, his good friend of nine years. Services will be held at Temple Beth Shalom, 12202 N. 101st. Ave., Sun City, AZ 85381, on Sunday, March 5th at 1:30 pm. Following a Memorial Service, internment will take place at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, 2300 Van Buren St., Phoenix, AZ 85009. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Temple Beth Shalom.
