Arthur A. Carlson, 86 of North Andover and Attleboro, died Friday at Ashland Farm in North Andover. Arthur was born on December 10,1928 in North Andover to the late Axel and Nellie (Stevens) Carlson. He was a graduate of Johnson High School, received his Associates Degree from Franklin Institute and his Bachelor of Science Degree in chemical engineering from Northeastern University. Arthur served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War as a runway electrician. He was a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W. in Attleboro. Arthur was employed as a chemist at New England Power Company at Brayton Point in Somerset Massachusetts for thirty years until his retirement. The widow of the late Joyce (Ormsby) Carlson, Arthur is survived by his daughter Pamela Carlson of North Andover and Attleboro and his sister Lillian Carlson also of North Andover. A graveside service will be held on Friday June 19,2015 at 2 PM Ridgewood Cemetery in North Andover.
