Armida "Bully" L. Meraz died on July 8, 2015 at the age of 66 years at Yuma Regional Medical Center in Yuma, Arizona. She was born on January 31, 1949 in Yuma Arizona. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Armida touched in a big way throughout her very memorable life. She will be missed by many.Armida resided in a group home for the developmentally delayed that is operated by The Saguaro Foundation in Yuma Arizona. These caregivers and office staff became her extended family and she was truly loved by them all.Armida is survived by her sister; Diana Meraz and brother; Henry Meraz, aunts; Lupita Phillips, Norma Lugo and Fannie Lugo and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; Fidelia Lugo and Enrique "Henry" Meraz Sr. sisters; Lydia Ornelas and Sally Acosta, maternal grandparents; Guadalupe Casian and Ignacio Lugo.Wake and viewing will be on Tuesday July 14th, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Desert Valley Mortuary Chapel. Mass will be July 15th, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Somerton, Arizona. Private cremation has been entrusted to Desert Valley Mortuary and Crematory. Pallbearers: Richard Meraz, Bobby Meraz, Trina Diana Meraz, Thomas Felkner, Jaime Ponce and Steve Rudick.Honorary bearers: Nancy Fidelia Meraz, Raymond Acosta, Tammy Meraz, Dolores Castanon, Steven Ornelas and Anthony Lugo.
