Arlene Mitchell, 54, of Kingwood, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2013. She was born on October 1, 1958 in Somerville, New Jersey.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Burd; brother, Kenneth (Cork) Burd. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, James P. Mitchell; children, James P. Mitchell, Jr., Adam P. Mitchell and wife Amy, Sarah Shivers and husband James; grandson, Nolan Shivers; mother, Lillian Burd; siblings, Joanne Armstrong and husband George, Ernest Burd and wife Colleen, LeeAnn Weaver and husband Gus, Thomas Burd and wife Liz, Laura Gares and husband Edward; sister-in-law, Cheryl Burd; numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass was held on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at St. Martha Catholic Church, 4301 Woodridge Pkwy, Porter, TX 77365.
