Arlene Lorraine Ross, 82, of Ada, Ohio passed away at 11:45 a.m. on Friday, March 22, 2013 at Kenton Nursing and Rehab, Kenton. She was born on Aug. 12, 1930 to the late Albert and Georgia B. (Nowlin) Dorcey in Whittemore. On Nov. 21, 1957 she married John Ross and he preceded her in death in 2001. She is survived by two daughters, Charlotte (Rich) Gooden of Ada and Annette Wellmerling of Dunkirk; two sons, Wayne (Andrea) Ross of Carmichael, Calif. and Albert (Sharon) Ross of Carson, Calif.; one brother, Jerry Dorcey; three sisters, Lillian (Sherman) Bingle, Coralie Earl and Shirley Trinklein; 12 grandchildren, Karin Baker, Chad (Shannan) Bodine, Andrew (Shannon) Bodine, Charitie (Brett) Thames, Christina Wellmerling, Nicolle (Ryan) Grindell, Laura Wellmerling, Amy Wellmerling, Heather Hultquist, Anthony Ross, Amealia Ross and Alyssa Ross; and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, DeWayne, Robert, Norman and Ray Dorcey.Arlene was a 1947 graduate of Whittemore High School. She retired from the 1st Interstate Bank in L.A. where she worked in the data processing center.She was an avid crocheter. She loved to play Bingo and was the "Queen of Yatzee," teaching all of her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and for what a great mom she was.Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, April 6 at Grace Gospel Church, 321 N. Gilbert St., Ada, Ohio with visitation from 10:30 a.m. to noon prior to the service at the church. Pastor Trent Boedicker will officiate.
